50 injured students in higher education in Gaza Strip
Academic Year (11 months)
Since the onset of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, thousands of students have been directly targeted, resulting in deaths or injuries. Injured students face significant challenges in continuing their education both now and in the future due to their injuries, which may hinder their future aspirations. This project aims to empower 50 injured students in higher education in Gaza Strip to successfully continue their studies during one academic year by providing scholarships for their tuition fees. This initiative will enhance their chances of obtaining higher education degrees, facilitate their social integration, and build a brighter future while improving their economic situation without their injuries becoming an obstacle. Through this project, we seek to offer sustainable support to the Palestinian community by improving access to higher education for Palestinian students and having a positive impact on their lives, future, and community.

Secondly: Project Background
During the genocide in the Gaza Strip, thousands of university students sustained injuries resulting in permanent disabilities, creating significant
challenges for them to continue living normally. These challenges are
compounded by additional burdens such as rehabilitation and treatment,
often leading to university dropout among this group of students.
According to the latest emergency report from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the total number of injured from the genocide reached 86,858, with a previous report from the Red Cross indicating that 9,000 of these were higher education students, many of whom sustained permanent disabilities.
This project will provide 50 scholarships for one academic year, enabling injured students to continue their studies and relieve some of the financial burdens on them and their families. This initiative is part of the urgent response by the foundation to meet the emerging needs of Palestinian students, working within the global sustainable development goals (ensuring inclusive and quality education for all and promoting lifelong learning) by empowering these students, contributing to their graduation, and improving their access to higher education. This initiative aims to have a long-term positive impact on the Palestinian community and enhance the psychological well-being of the students and their families.
